Job summary

The Third Shift Fabrication Lead at IEM ensures continuous operation of laser machines and fabrication equipment across two facilities. You will oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of lasers, shears, turret punches, and press brakes, while managing material flow through automation towers to support production.

With at least 1 year supervising personnel and CNC experience, you will collaborate across shifts, document performance, and uphold safety standards in a demanding shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• At least 1 year supervising personnel in manufacturing.
• Experience operating CNC equipment (lasers, shears, turret punches, press brakes).

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous operation of laser machines during the third shift and resolve alarms promptly.
• Operate fabricating machines, including shears, turret punches, and press brakes, as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance to minimize downtime and troubleshoot alarms.
• Oversee loading/unloading of metal sheets in automation towers when programs end.
• Ensure materials are staged for uninterrupted production and turnover to first shift.
• Collaborate with first and second shift for smooth handover of operations.
• Track and document machine performance, material usage, and output.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
