Job summary

IEM is seeking an Operations Supervisor - Fabrication to lead our Metal fab or Bus fab teams in Jacksonville. This role demands safety focus, hands-on fabrication supervision, and lean manufacturing in a fast-paced production setting.

The position is a 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:30am ET) with 100% in-office presence in Jacksonville, reporting to the Operations Manager, Fabrication. The successful candidate will drive quality, efficiency, and team development while coordinating with planning and EHS

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or Supply Chain
• Five years of related leadership experience; may substitute for degree
• Minimum 2 years of fabrication or process engineering experience, preferably in a leadership role
• Ability to supervise 40+ personnel
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and practice

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits and investigations per policies
• Monitor timecards and PTO/UTO submissions using UKG Workforce Management
• Ensure production schedules are followed and communicate delays
• Perform random inspections to ensure quality standards
• Supervise leads and operators; conduct performance reviews
• Manage inventory and coordinate material transfers to avoid shortages
• Hire and develop staff; implement training procedures
• Maintain daily management board data and reports
