Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a 3rd shift Laser Operator to setup and run Amada or Mitsubishi NC/NCL lasers and Messer Plasma in a fast-paced fabrication shop. You will check material, de-nest parts, and ensure quality while supporting other operators as needed.

The role requires strong communication, blueprint reading, and a solid laser/CNC background, with willingness to train others and participate in safety practices. A High School diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in a highly technical environment.
Experience with laser/CNC operation.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
Forklift experience preferred.
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other departments.
Overhead crane experience desired.
Demonstrated basic shop math.

Responsibilities

Perform setups and operations on Amada and Mitsubishi NC/NCL Lasers and Messer Plasma.
Check material thickness and load material.
De-nest and remove laser oxide from parts.
Meet time standards and quality expectations.
Train others on laser/plasma setup and operation.
Identify and solve machine alignment and cut condition problems.
Cross-train across multiple laser platforms.
Maintain safety and report issues.
