Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems is seeking a CNC Machinist for our York, PA facility. You will fabricate and weld complex piping and pressure vessels for Navy equipment, using CNC and manual welding processes in demanding positions.

The role requires ability to read shop prints and process sheets, with experience on NC/CNC machines. It offers a 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, with a union environment and competitive pay including shift differential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read shop prints and mathematics.
• Knowledge of NC/CNC controlled machines and shop practices.
• Ability to setup and operate tape-controlled milling and frilling machines.
• Ability to perform moderate physical effort.
• Requires US Citizenship for DOD Federal Contract.

Responsibilities

• Use preset machines, precision instruments, hand and power tools.
• Work from drawings, process sheets, specs, or tapes.
• Perform fixture change-overs and in-line inspection.
• Maintain tooling and backups as needed.
• Monitor control messages and take corrective action.
• Perform housekeeping and deburr tasks within machining operations.
