Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist for the 3rd shift to perform a variety of tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Transfusion Services with accuracy and efficiency. The position requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in MLS/MLT or MT certification with a minimum of two years of hospital laboratory experience.

You will conduct quality control, instrument maintenance, and phlebotomy as needed, with opportunities to mentor staff and support Flow

Qualifications

Associate degree in MLS/MLT or B.S. in MLS/MT or MT certification with 2+ years of hospital lab experience.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Conduct quality control testing and routine instrument maintenance.
Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and ensure optimal instrument performance.
Perform phlebotomy as needed.
Train and mentor new employees and students as assigned.
Cross-train and support specialized laboratory areas, including Flow Cytometry, Microbiology, and Cellular Therapy.
