Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Flint, MI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide daily living assistance, companionship, and medication support for our residents. This part-time role includes 8-hour shifts and requires reliable transportation, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts. Document medications as required.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment, including light housekeeping.
• Reporting changes in residents' condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and Homestead staff.
• Comply with safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents and willing to pass medications in Flint, MI.

The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts. Follow procedures regarding documenting of medications.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old.

• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position. Caregivers will be scheduled to work 8 hours shifts. Every other weekend is a requirement.

Pay:

Hourly pay is $16.00 per hour with room for growth.
