Job summary

Homestead Home Health Care in Livonia, MI is seeking compassionate Caregivers and MedTechs to support residents in our community. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, provide companionship, and report health changes to a supervisor.

We require 18+, a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 lbs, reliable transportation, and the willingness to work every other weekend. Benefits include paid orientation, time off, and health coverage after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intake.
• Assist residents with mobility and ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean living environment and light housekeeping as needed.
• Report changes in residents' well-being to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.

Homestead Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers and MedTechs to provide care to our residents in our Community in Livonia, MI.

The Caregiver/MedTech will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication administration, and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians' orders and monitor and document residents' medication intake accurately.
• Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, which may include light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide regular updates on residents' well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
