Job summary

Homestead Home Health Care in Livonia, MI is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers and MedTechs to provide attentive care to residents in our community. Join a team dedicated to dignity, safety, and high-quality home health services.

You will assist with activities of daily living, administer medications, provide companionship, and monitor residents’ well-being while following infection control procedures. All shifts available to fit different schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), including bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intake.
• Assist residents with mobility and ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, organized living environment with light housekeeping as needed.
• Provide regular updates on residents’ well-being to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
• Comply with safety and infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Homestead Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers and MedTechs to provide care to our residents in our Community in Livonia, MI.

The Caregiver/MedTech will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication administration, and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians' orders and monitor and document residents' medication intake accurately.
• Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, which may include light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide regular updates on residents' well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
