Job summary

Homestead Home Health Care is seeking compassionate caregivers and MedTechs to provide care for residents in our community in Livonia, MI. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and offering companionship and emotional support.

All shifts are available. The ideal candidate will have experience with the elderly, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Background check clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), specifically bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians' orders and monitor medication intake.
• Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, organized living environment and perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Provide regular updates on residents' well-being to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.

Homestead Home Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers and MedTechs to provide care to our residents in our Community in Livonia, MI.

The Caregiver/MedTech will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication administration, and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians' orders and monitor and document residents' medication intake accurately.
• Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, which may include light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide regular updates on residents' well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.

• Able to pass a criminal background check.

• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
