Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care.
• Administer medications and injections to residents according to medical charts and document accordingly.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the environment including light housekeeping as needed.
• Report any changes in resident condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate professionally with families, support services, and Homestead staff.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents and willing to pass medications in Flint, MI.

The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts. Follow procedures regarding documenting of medications.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Schedule

This is a part-time position. Caregivers will be scheduled to work 8 hours shifts. Every other weekend is a requirement.

Pay

Hourly pay is $16.00 per hour with room for growth.
