Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Flint, MI is seeking compassionate caregivers to support residents with daily living activities and provide companionship. The role includes administering medications per medical charts and reporting changes to supervisors.

The position is part-time with 8-hour shifts and every-other-weekend requirements. Benefits include paid time off, training, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years old.
Able to pass a criminal background check.
Experience working with the elderly.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Every other weekend is required.
Reliable transportation.
Valid Driver’s license or ID.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care.
Administer medications and injections to residents according to medical charts and document accordingly.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
Maintain the cleanliness of the environment including light housekeeping as needed.
Report any changes in resident condition to the supervisor.
Communicate professionally with families, support services, and Homestead staff.
Follow safety and infection control procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
