Job summary

Web Industries Lead Manufacturing Operator is seeking a skilled professional to run production lines on the 3rd shift in Dayville, CT. You will work closely with the shift supervisor, perform inspections, train staff, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires 4+ years of manufacturing experience, LEAN competencies, strong English skills, and the ability to read complex work instructions.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years manufacturing experience or equivalent.
  • Understanding and use of LEAN tools including SMED, Kanban, PokaYoke, Value Stream Map analysis/creation etc.
  • Ability to read, write and speak and understand English.
  • Ability to read and understand complex work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills; Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Lifts of 50–75 lbs may be required.
  • Certification and Completion of Web's Training Passport program for Manufacturing Operator II.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up machine to specifications and best practices to meet production specs.
  • Train Manufacturing Associates using the passport program.
  • Perform first and final inspections and record verification data.
  • Inspect part verification data and manage downtime and changeovers.
  • Support continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives on the floor.
  • Maintain safety and environmental compliance and report unsafe conditions.
