Job summary

Microbest, Inc. in Waterbury, CT, is seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily for the 2nd shift, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while building a high-performing team.

You will translate the production plan into actionable cell-level actions and drive standard work across CNC/grinding/inspection processes. You will coach operators, coordinate staffing, balance capacity, and partner with maintenance and quality to meet SQDC goals.

Qualifications

5+ years in high-volume precision manufacturing.
2+ years leading teams in a multi-cell environment.
Working knowledge of CNC machining and/or grinding; read drawings.
Lean/continuous improvement (5S, standard work, PDCA/8D, SMED).
Proficiency with ERP/MES and MS Office; interpret schedules and data.
Strong communication and coaching skills; able to lead a diverse, multilingual workforce.
Proven track record of meeting SQDC targets while developing people.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of leads and operators; conduct stand-ups and 1:1s.
Set clear performance expectations; give timely feedback and coaching.
Translate production schedule into actionable plans by cell/line; balance labor and capacity.
Monitor performance; hit OEE, throughput, and on-time delivery targets.
Coordinate with Maintenance for downtime and preventive maintenance.
Drive daily problem solving and kaizen; standardize best practices.
