Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. Wakefield facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 for the 3rd shift (M-F 10pm–6am).

The role focuses on maintenance and reliability, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting asset health improvements in a fast-paced food production environment. The successful candidate will read mechanical drawings, collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate preferred.
• 1 year of experience as an industrial maintenance technician preferred.
• Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior experience in SAP preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on plant equipment and minor electrical work.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and document findings.
• Read blueprints and wiring schematics and use hand and power tools.
• Support reliability improvements and RCA contributions.
• Maintain safety, GMP compliance, and sanitary conditions.
