Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles critical to food products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure specifications are met and documented for ingredients, packaging, and finished products.
  • Communicate findings to necessary departments to improve food safety and quality.
  • Verify PC's and CCP's are complete and signed.
  • Follow shift checklists for the area.
  • Fill inventory adjustment sheets when product is removed.
  • Log hold tags when product is placed on hold.
  • Conduct weekly environmental swabs and air plates.
  • Adhere to safety policies and GMPs at all times.
  • Perform QAT tasks and coordinate with lab for sample testing.
