Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance/Control technician at Wakefield to ensure incoming ingredients and packaging meet specifications and to document all findings. You will communicate results to production, reinforce safety and food safety policies, and support QA labs with timely sample handling.

Responsibilities include maintaining GMPs, completing CCP checks, and supporting weekly swabs and environmental testing. Weekend/overtime availability may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and coordinates with Production to keep processing up to date as issues are found.
• Adheres to safe work practices, GMPs, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures product quality.
• Verify PC’s and CCP’s are complete and signed off.
• Responsible for following the shift’s checklist for the area.
• Accountable for filling out inventory adjustment sheets when finished product is removed from inventory.
• Responsible for weekly environmental swabs and air plates.
• Works with micro, process/chemistry lab and QA supervisor to get product samples to the labs in a timely manner.
