Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift, onsite in Coralville, IA. The role focuses on performing project work, preventive maintenance, and unplanned repairs on facility systems and production equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, collaborate with engineers to improve performance, and handle HVAC, chilled water, and safety systems.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma; in absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract and to obtain clearance.
• This 3rd‑shift role requires strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems, and the capability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security clearance is required.
• Candidates must meet physical requirements, furnish basic hand tools, and hold a passing CET Associate exam score.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on facility systems and production equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; work with Engineers to improve performance of equipment/processes.
• Maintain records and complete necessary paperwork; ensure safety compliance.
• Must furnish own hand tools and be able to lift/handle heavy parts and equipment.
• Work 3rd shift onsite and support multiple customers with strong interpersonal communication.
