Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, gear boxes and other moving parts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors and department managers required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain processing equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Inspect and prevent potential problems to avoid component failure.
• Monitor machinery to minimize downtime and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to schedule preventive maintenance.
• Assist with line startup and equipment adjustments; perform building maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to GMPs, SOPs and safety rules; promote a safe work environment.
