Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to monitor, repair and maintain production equipment and facilities.

The role includes preventive maintenance, startup testing and equipment inspections, with emphasis on safety and GMP/SOP compliance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, coordinating with planners, supporting line startups and performing building repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including chains, gears, bearings, gear boxes and other moving parts.
• Previous refrigeration experience is a plus; strong oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain processing equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Inspect and recognize potential problems; take action to prevent failures.
• Monitor machinery to minimize downtime and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planner to schedule routine and preventative maintenance.
