Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. in Lampasas, TX seeks a Maintenance Electrician with strong electrical maintenance skills to support packaging and processing lines.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot PLCs, maintain compressors, pumps, and electrical panels, and ensure GMP/HACCP compliance while keeping downtime to a minimum. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment modification, and close collaboration with production, sanitation, and other teams to keep operations safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of maintenance electrician experience required.
• 6 months or more of manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• Must have or obtain a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license or be a journeyman electrician; must pass exam within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic blue-prints and mechanical drawings.
• Must understand basic test meters and HVAC/plant utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and update schematics/diagrams and follow electrical preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain and repair automated packaging equipment, hydraulic systems, compressors, refrigeration units, and related plant equipment.
• Scope projects, order materials, and complete on time and on budget; pass electrical inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and ensure equipment readiness for production start-up.
• Maintain lighting inside and outside the plant and assist other groups as needed.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures; seek efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
