Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the 3rd shift at the Oakland plant in Mississippi.

The role focuses on keeping food manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities in top condition through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years' experience with electrical/electronic and mechanical systems, plus PLC and control knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience with electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read schematics, blueprints and PLC ladder logic; interpret electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of general safety, lock-out tag-out and equipment isolation.
• Able to work with team and communicate clearly with operators and supervision.
• Basic computer skills with Windows and Office applications; industrial tools a plus.
• Welding and fabrication experience a plus; ammonia refrigeration or boiler knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair production equipment and utilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular equipment checks to minimize downtime.
• Install new equipment or relocate existing equipment; assist startups and shut downs.
• Assist team leaders in line start up and equipment adjustments; assist maintenance staff.
• Provide status updates on work in progress and potential issues to supervision.
• Adhere to maintenance practices to comply with regulations and safety standards.
• Develop maintenance skills across mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic and fabrication areas.
• Support TPM initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
