Job summary

Caterpillar in Menominee, MI is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service facilities and industrial equipment across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will read complex drawings and manuals, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot a wide range of machinery.

The role features 3rd shift hours (8:00pm–6:00am) with a $24.40/hour base plus a $1 premium, plus overtime opportunities and a robust benefits package including 401(k) match, health coverage, HSA, tuition

Qualifications

• Must be proficient at advanced shop mathematics.
• Requires reading and interpreting complicated drawings, specifications and manuals.
• Requires knowledge of mechanical methods and procedures.
• Must use judgment to plan and perform unusual, difficult work with limited direction.
• Must be able to lift 25–35 pounds, 15–40% of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on facilities, equipment, systems and machines (heating, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc).
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, diagnose malfunctions and implement fixes.
• Identify and order replacement parts and maintain tooling inventory.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Instruct and train others on methods and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and report hazards.
• Coordinate with shifts, team lead and manager on equipment status.
