Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a 3rd Shift Distribution Center Maintenance I Technician to perform general and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, structures and grounds.

The role focuses on repairs, electrical work, and building upkeep to keep distribution operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma and one to two years of related maintenance experience, with the ability to read manuals, interpret MSDS and follow safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years related maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams and MSDS.
• Ability to follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Basic reading of blueprints and operating manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Install and repair electrical components under supervision.
• Complete routine maintenance like bulb replacements and cleaning.
• Maintain building and grounds including plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on batteries, conveyors and related systems.
• Support skilled staff with pipe systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in equipment.
