The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a distribution center or industrial setting, and basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Maintenance experience in a distribution center or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs on equipment
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, lights, outlets, circuit breakers, wiring, and electrical components
• Complete minor and routine maintenance: changing light bulbs, cleaning equipment
• Paint and perform building and grounds maintenance including plumbing/carpentry
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on material handling systems
• Assist skilled staff with maintenance of pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment
• Assist with repairs and replacements of gauges, valves, and regulators
• Assist with scheduled preventive maintenance while following safety guidelines
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions of equipment
• Store hazardous materials properly when not in use
