Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift in Lincoln, NE. The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced food processing environment.

You will work with electricians, machinists, and operations to ensure uptime, perform preventive maintenance, and support safety and compliance programs. Relocation assistance and education benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years in similar role.
• Technical or vocational training in maintenance preferred.
• Able to operate forklifts or PIT equipment.
• Good reading of work orders, manuals, and electrical diagrams.
• Team player with ability to work with contractors.

Responsabilités

• Efficiently review work orders and materials; use SAP to create work orders and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment; fabricate parts as needed.
• Install and maintain mechanical systems, piping, and electrical controls following specs and safety rules.
• Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshooting procedures.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout and GMPs.
