Job summary

Peet’s Coffee in Brooklyn Center, MN is seeking a Packaging Technician (Machine Operator) to safely operate and monitor packaging equipment, set up machines, and perform routine adjustments to meet the daily production schedule.

You will work 2nd shift, 3:30pm–12:00am, and will report quality and safety issues, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or packaging equipment to process coffee according to the daily production schedule.
• Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and standard operating procedures.
• Perform quality checks, complete required production and quality records, and ensure product meets specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate safety, quality, or production issues to leadership; report equipment issues to Maintenance/Engineering.
• Support productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Assist with training and guiding team members and temporary workers at the workstation as needed.
