Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our high-volume plastics production lines running safely and efficiently.

This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and rapid response to downtime in a 3rd shift operation. You will diagnose machines, repair components, perform scheduled PMs, document work, and help with automation equipment including sensors and 24VDC devices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven industrial manufacturing maintenance experience in mechanical/hydraulic and electrical/electronics.
• Automotive industry experience preferred in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting Keyence SR scanners.
• Experience troubleshooting Keyence vision sensors IV, IV2, IV3.
• Knowledge of changing IP addresses on technician computers preferred.
• Safety relays, safety interlocks, and functional machine safety understanding.
• Troubleshooting and repairing light assembly mechatronics.
• Troubleshooting 24VDC sensors (photo-eyes, fiber, laser sensors, proximity, color).
• Repair of 480VAC equipment (contactors, relays, starters, VFDs, motors).

Responsibilities

• Identify causes of unexpected machine breakdowns.
• Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and work orders on machines.
• Clean and reassemble machine parts as needed.
• Oil and lubricate moving parts for optimal performance.
• Record and report damaged or worn parts.
• Install replacement parts for machines.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Maintain shop areas, inventory, and supplies.
• Assist with installing or removing equipment.
• Perform building and ground duties including basic plumbing and snow removal.
• Follow organization standards.
