Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright for a 3rd shift role at a Western New York food manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements include at least 3 years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience, ability to read schematics, and familiarity with pumps, pneumatic systems, and 480V three-phase controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience disassembling and rebuilding equipment.
• Familiarity with pumps, fluid systems, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting 480V three phase electrical systems, motors, and control circuits.
• Welding, fabrication and pipe fitting experience.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting with meters and NEC codes.
• Ability to work at heights with fall protection and lift, and to perform physically active work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment including power transmission systems, pumps, and pneumatics.
• Diagnose electrical and control issues on production equipment (PLC experience is a plus).
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment rebuilds to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Use shop equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, and grinders.
• Perform welding and fabrication work including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Create and close work orders within the CMMS system.
• Support plant safety initiatives and follow all safety and GMP requirements.
