Job summary

Jobot, a Northvale, NJ based food manufacturing leader, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep production lines running safely and efficiently on 1st or 2nd shift. This hands-on role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility upkeep across packaging equipment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, and familiarity with 480V three-phase systems and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food/beverage/packaging industries.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power.
• Experience with automated production and packaging equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production, processing, and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs with minimal downtime.
• Work with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, and VFDs.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility projects.
• Document completed work and communicate concerns to leadership.
• Follow safety, sanitation, GMP requirements and maintain organized inventory.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Opportunity With Food Industry Leader (Openings on 1st & 2nd Shift) / $30-$45 Per Hour + Full Benefits

A growing food manufacturing company in Northvale, NJ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to help keep its production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment installations, and facility upkeep.

Salary: $30 - $45 per hour

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on production, processing, and packaging machinery
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs with minimal production downtime
• Work with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, and variable-frequency drives
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility maintenance projects
• Document completed work and communicate equipment concerns to production leadership
• Follow all safety, sanitation, food-quality, and GMP requirements
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies

Qualifications

• At least three years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food, beverage, packaging, or consumer products manufacturing
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power
• Experience with automated production and packaging equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• PLC troubleshooting experience is helpful
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around operating machinery
