Job summary

Materion is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Reading, PA to support 2nd and 3rd shifts in installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining industrial machinery, utilities and structures.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing pipefitting, welding, painting and plumbing, plus basic electrical work and hydraulic system maintenance. A High School Diploma and 4+ years of maintenance experience are required. Materion is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years applicable industrial maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience with basic pipefitting, welding, painting and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery, equipment, utilities and structures.
• Perform basic pipefitting, welding, painting and plumbing.
• Perform basic electrical functions, including running conduit and wiring 3-phase motors.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, instruction manuals and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate steel and sheet metal projects.
• Requisition materials as needed and in accordance with purchasing guidelines.
