Meijer Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift role in Middlebury, Indiana. The position focuses on maintaining and repairing equipment across manufacturing, production, refrigeration, and packaging functions, with emphasis on ammonia and HVAC systems.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and GMP/LOTO procedures. Metal fabrication skills (MIG/TIG) are valued for equipment repair and modification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification preferred; mechatronics certs advantageous.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning, scheduling and maintenance activities.
• Proactively maintains water treatment, refrigeration, boiler systems.
• Keeps regulatory and compliance records for all systems.
• Performs routine and emergency maintenance on utilities in a multi-craft setting.
• Completes preventative maintenance and work orders in a timely manner.
• Adheres to 200% safety accountability in self and team.
