Job summary

IPC in Lafayette, Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the 3rd shift (10 pm–6 am). The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, with responsibilities to diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment.

The position is full-time on-site with opportunities to grow skills and advance within IPC, promoting a culture centered on teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial maintenance environment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiar with safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to use hand tools and maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Diagnose equipment issues, replace parts, and test/adjust as needed.
• Install electric motors and perform basic VFD programming.
• Troubleshoot control circuits and production equipment.
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on machines and facility equipment.
• Complete work orders safely and per IPC processes.
• Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials, or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and plant leadership.
• Support maintenance technicians across all shifts as needed.
• Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repairs during production.
• Track spare parts usage and assist with inventory management.
• Work within schedules and production requirements.
• Perform other duties to support plant operations.
