Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our Delphi, Indiana facility. The role supports production by minimizing downtime and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on processing equipment.

The position requires 8-10 hour shifts with mandatory overtime and weekends. Candidates should have strong mechanical repair skills and the ability to read prints/schematics. IPC offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining mechanical drives, chain drives and conveyor systems.
• TIG/Stick welding and fabrication experience.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends when needed.
• Must read and understand prints, schematics, and related docs.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes preferred.
• Hazmat certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical tasks including maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
• Schedules and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on processing equipment.
• Diagnoses, replaces or repairs parts and tests systems to resolve issues.
• Uses hand and power tools and meters in daily duties.
• Follows safety policies and company procedures at all times.
• Collaborates with coworkers, supervisors and managers to maintain operations.
