Job summary

RM Palmer Company, LLC in Reading, PA is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Supervisor to direct all maintenance functions for the shift, ensuring safe, efficient operation and strong team leadership. Responsibilities include supervising hourly technicians, coordinating contractors, implementing preventive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement through TPM, Lean, and RCA.

Candidates should have 5+ years in maintenance and 3+ years in supervision, preferably in food or beverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Food or beverage industry experience preferred.
• Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, TPM, 5S).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while optimizing equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervisory leadership to the hourly maintenance workforce and oversee on-site contractor coordination.
• Provide individual team member job assignments and track progress to completion.
• Assist with diagnosing and correcting malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Develop cost-effective preventative maintenance procedures to extend equipment life.
• Enforce safety policies through inspections, hazard assessments and OSHA compliance.
• Ensure accurate CMMS documentation of maintenance activities and parts usage.
• Analyze downtime trends and drive continuous improvement in plant performance.
• Lead TPM, Lean, Autonomous Maintenance, RCA and other reliability initiatives.
