Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Monroe, NJ
Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled and reliable Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Monroe. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, particularly with electrical and hydraulic systems, and knowledge of packaging equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities, maintaining production efficiency, and adhering to safety standards.
Positions Available:
- 2 Second Shift Technicians
- 2 Third Shift Technicians
Compensation:
Up to $30 per hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, including packaging machinery, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, perform repairs, and document work performed.
- Maintain and repair packaging equipment, including but not limited to bottling lines, labeling machines, and palletizers.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to the production schedule.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation for all equipment serviced.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment or machinery as needed.
- Support the team in identifying areas for process improvement and machine efficiency.
- Work closely with the maintenance supervisor and management to prioritize and schedule tasks.
- Identify parts on a print and provide solutions to equipment issues.
- Answer specific technical questions related to the field, drawing on experience and expertise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in industrial maintenance, with a strong focus on packaging equipment or manufacturing machinery.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery, including packaging equipment.
- Experience identifying parts from prints or schematics and using technical drawings to assist in repairs.
- Strong understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
