Electrical Maintenance Technician

Summary: Under general supervision, performs advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, hydraulic systems, pumps, conveyor systems, and production machines, using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments. Understands the operation of Die Cast processes and related equipment. Works independently, providing leadership and assistance to the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs reactive and planned maintenance, including observing devices, dismantling, examining parts, adjusting, repairing, testing, and ordering supplies as needed.
• Acts as a proactive project manager, analyzing failures, recommending solutions, and building or troubleshooting electrical panels to NFPA/NEC standards.
• Provides leadership and support to lower-level technicians.
• Supports safety programs by participating in meetings, investigating incidents, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may train or lead lower-level employees.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Experience requirements vary; not required for entry-level technicians.

Skills and Abilities:

• Adheres to safety procedures
• Team player, organized, self-motivated, able to prioritize
• Computer literate; familiarity with CMMS, Microsoft Office
• Ability to interpret PLCs, diagnostics, programming, and documentation
• Hands-on skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of specific machinery and systems listed
• Welding, rigging, equipment movement skills
• Operates forklift and articulating boom
• Problem-solving and diagnostic skills

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
