The Field Engineer 2 performs timely and accurate Preventative Maintenance on one or more modalities of equipment. The FE2 follows all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins. Works with experienced Field Engineers, both onsite and remotely, to learn troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation techniques. Responsible for driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. This position will focus on multi-vendor equipment, e.g., Siemens and Philips MR, CT, XR, etc.

The position is for the 3rd shift (Hours TBD) and supports the Tampa, FL area.

Responsibilities:
  1. Complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs, and ISIs.
  2. Assist experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
  3. Work with experienced engineers on troubleshooting and repair of designated equipment.
  4. Communicate effectively with teammates and colleagues.
  5. Communicate with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up, ensuring satisfaction.
  6. Recommend value-added services to help customers operate efficiently.
  7. Maintain customer service logs, internal service records, order parts, and manage cycle times.
  8. Use GEHC escalation process and work with support to resolve customer issues promptly.
  9. Participate as a member of the account community for key accounts.
  10. Engage with commercial teams, identify sales leads, and support revenue programs.
  11. Focus on customer needs, build relationships, and act as a trusted partner.
  12. Stay informed about competitor information and market trends.
  13. Answer service calls independently within one year of employment.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or military education; or participation in GEHC internships or externships; or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years servicing electronic equipment.
  • Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Must pass background checks, drug tests, and comply with customer access policies, immunizations, and additional checks as required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift, carry, push, pull up to 35 lbs., and perform physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Willing to work after hours, weekends, and on-call shifts as necessary.
