About The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer 2nd or 3rd shift, you will provide off-shift engineering support for quality and equipment troubleshooting for critical plant processes.

You will report to the Lead Engineer and be located at Blairsville, PA. This role is 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide off-shift maintenance coordination for equipment breakdowns.
2. Provide task/project level updates to all appropriate partners.
3. Develop and deliver presentations to communicate statuses, problem resolutions, and recommendations.
4. Apply engineering design and analysis for nuclear products/projects, including mechanical component design and understanding mechanical drawings.
5. Evaluate equipment and systems needed to accomplish goals.
6. Develop new and improve existing processes.
7. Monitor and correct quality problems associated with manufacturing processes.
8. Analyze designs and implement improvements to facilitate manufacturing at lowest cost.
9. Develop alternative solutions ensuring cost-effective operations.
10. Suggest sources of manufacture and develop new sources with Purchasing.
11. Apply modern engineering science (lean manufacturing, six-sigma, statistical process analysis) to improve manufacturing efficiency.
12. Analyze and recommend technological innovations in machinery and manufacturing techniques to solve complex problems.

Qualifications

1. B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline.
2. 3+ years of applicable manufacturing experience.
