Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice in Braselton, GA to assist with the upkeep and repair of conveyors, machines and equipment in a multi-shift distribution environment.

You will receive training on basic maintenance tasks and work under experienced technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations. Candidates should be prepared to pass equipment qualifications, lift up to 45 pounds individually and 100 pounds with help, and comply with safety rules and blackout periods during peak

Qualifications

• Must be able to use all routine industrial hand tools.
• Must have electrical knowledge.
• Must be able to read and use tape measures, levels, etc.
• Must be able to pass equipment training including scissor lift, stock picker, reach truck, pallet truck, and turret truck.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Minimal level of maintenance experience.
• Must be able to lift 45 pounds individually and 100 pounds with team assistance.
• Must be able to walk and climb stairs.
• Must be able to use ladders.
• Must be available to work 14 consecutive days in a row during peak season.
• Comply with Blackout Periods as determined by Management.
• Holiday scheduled to be decided by Management based upon forecast.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced techs planning and coordinating maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines and equipment.
• Complete necessary training on basic maintenance functions
• Ensuring all work adheres to OSHA regulations and Carter’s safety rules
• Maintain good housekeeping and collaborate with management to maximize productivity
• Maintain facility property including HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, etc.
