Job summary

Carter's Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to support our distribution operations. You will work with experienced technicians to plan and coordinate maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines, and equipment, while learning essential skills and safety rules.

The role requires basic electrical knowledge, ability to read tape measures, and the stamina to lift heavy items. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and you must be able to pass equipment training including scissor lift and

Qualifications

Must be able to use all routine industrial hand tools.
Must have electrical knowledge.
Must be able to read and use tape measures, levels, etc.
Must be able to pass equipment training including scissor lift, stock picker, reach truck, pallet truck, and turret truck.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Minimal level of maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Work with experienced techs planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of conveyors, machines and equipment.
Complete necessary training on basic maintenance functions
Ensuring that all work is done in accordance with OSHA regulations and Carter's safety rules
Maintaining good housekeeping and working well with management, peers and subordinate employees to maximize productivity while minimizing employee conflict
Maintenance of facility property, not limited to building grounds, HVAC, generators, sprinkler systems, security systems, etc.
