Job summary

The Performance Group in Reading, PA is seeking Mail Sorters for a globally known mail distributor. This hands-on role offers $18.75 per hour and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and overtime availability.

You will prepare outgoing metered mail, troubleshoot barcodes, and assist with pallets; benefits include health insurance, paid vacations, weekly pay, and a temperature-regulated environment.

• Distribute outgoing metered mail onto pallets according to labels.
• Shrink wrap pallets, sleeve mail trays, and load incoming trucks.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and accuracy

Pay Rate

$18.75/hr.

Mail Sorter Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing metered mail by reviewing proper date, postage, and good quality barcodes prior to being placed into production.
• Communicate errors, recognize bad barcodes found in the mail, troubleshoot, and remove mail piece jams from machine.
• Distribute outgoing metered mail by separating and stacking trays of mail onto pallets according to their labels for transportation.
• Shrink wrapping pallets, sleeving mail trays, and loading incoming trucks.
• Maintaining awareness of surroundings and consistent accuracy.

Mail Sorter Qualifications

• The ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or potential no advance notice.
• The ability to be dependable and reliable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.
