Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking a Laser Operator in West Bend to operate Bystronic and Mitsubishi CO2 lasers, de-nest parts, and finish parts for the fabrication line. You will organize parts, verify materials, and support other operators as needed in a fast, Just-in-time shop.

The role requires basic measurement skills, blueprint reading, and knowledge of G and M codes. Forklift handling and teamwork are essential for daily throughput and safety.

Qualifications

• Able to operate Bystronic and Mitsubishi CO2 lasers.
• Competent with basic shop math and blueprint reading.
• Able to understand/apply G and M codes and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser systems.
• Load materials and de-nest laser-cut parts.
• Train others on laser set-up and operation when required.
• Identify and solve alignment and cut-condition problems.
• Record and report material, production and quality data.
