Job summary

Lennox is hiring a Laser Machine Operator to run laser cutting equipment and ensure accurate programs in a fast-paced facility in the United States. The role requires basic computer skills, English literacy, and familiarity with sheet metal materials.

You will read blueprints, set fixtures, adjust the laser focal point, and report any material or process issues. Qualified applicants have 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with laser operation, and may have forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Must read/write in English and follow blueprints.
• Basic computer skills and safety awareness.
• Familiarity with sheet metal laser cutters preferred.
• Understanding of mild/stainless aluminum and galvanized steel.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and switch focus quickly.
• Willing to assist in other areas during downtime; OT and weekends may be required.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–2 years manufacturing; 1 year laser operator preferred; forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the laser machine and ensure correct cutting programs.
• Select cutting programs and fixtures; verify stop location and focal point.
• Correct and clear laser errors; report issues to supervisor.
• Read technical drawings to confirm cuts match design.
• Manually lift and handle raw materials and finished parts.
• Remove parts from sheets and stack on skids; pack parts as needed.
• Maintain clean work area and assist in other departments when required.
• Adhere to safety standards and quality requirements.
