Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc is seeking a 3rd Shift Laser Operator in Mayville, WI. You will be responsible for daily setup and operation of Amada/Mitsubishi NC/NCL lasers or Messer Plasma in a just-in-time fabrication shop.

The role includes training others, troubleshooting, cross-training, and maintaining safety standards. The position requires prior experience in a technical environment, strong laser/CNC background, blueprint reading ability, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a highly technical environment.
• Experience with laser or CNC operation.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of G and M codes; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Amada and Mitsubishi NC/NCL lasers and Messer Plasma.
• Check material thickness and load material accurately.
• De-nest and remove laser oxide from parts/plasma.
• Meet time standards and quality expectations.
• May train others on laser/plasma setup and operation.
• Troubleshoot minor program errors and machine alignment issues.
• Cross-train across laser platforms and cells.
• Keep safety and maintenance practices current.
