Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Waukesha, WI is seeking an Inspector/Tester C for the 3rd shift to perform assembly inspection and electrical testing of transformers/regulators. Core hours are 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, with overtime possible.

Compensation starts at $24.45 per hour plus $2.50 shift differential; sign-on bonus of $3,000 paid in two installments. Benefits include health coverage, vacations, and weekly pay; opportunities for career progression and retirement programs are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine factory dielectric tests per established procedures, including OX (induced), QC impulse, and hipot (applied potential).
• Perform power factor, ratio, and resistance tests per established procedures.
• Perform operational tests on regulators as required.
• Perform continuity test on unit per established procedures.
• Follow routine tests inspect unit nameplate, stamp impedance value on nameplate, and secure nameplate to tested unit.
• Perform visual inspection on interior of unit upon completion of testing.
• Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.
• Perform special routine tests when required.
• Perform all responsibilities of the Inspector, including, but not limited to: visual inspection of units throughout the assembly process and various tests as required per established procedures.
• Apply decals and stencils to exterior of unit and perform paint mileage check as required.
• Assist Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.
