Job summary

SARSTEDT Group in Newton, NC is seeking an Injection Molding Technician for the 3rd shift to keep production running smoothly, set up molds, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and safety standards are met according to the production schedule.

The role requires prior injection molding experience, ability to read technical documents, and familiarity with databases, inventory, and manufacturing software. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6 months to 1 year related experience/training.
• Previous injection molding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Knowledge of database, inventory, and manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Perform color and order changes.
• Perform complete mold changes and set-ups of all molding machinery.
• Prepare all release paperwork including measuring of the product and start-up.
• Responsible for first line visual and dimensional inspection of the product.
• Perform line clearance before starting a new order.
• Troubleshoot product defects, part containment, and other issues during production.
• Keep machine cards, orders, mold change reports, and process change sheets updated.
• Work according to safety regulations at all times and report unsafe conditions.
