Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the Charleston, SC area on 3rd shift to support heavy steel processing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

This onsite role requires hands-on troubleshooting, ownership of equipment reliability, and experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and welding. Competitive compensation and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in steel processing, stamping, heavy manufacturing, or industrial production preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and power transmission equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Comfortable using a computer for reports, email, and parts research.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment.
• Work on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, shafts, and power transmission systems.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Complete welding, cutting, fabrication, and minor machining as needed.
• Read mechanical drawings, schematics, OEM manuals, and equipment diagrams.
• Partner with electrical technicians, operators, and production teams on repairs and upgrades.
• Document maintenance work, daily reports, and parts needs.
