Job summary
MOHR Talent is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the Charleston, SC area on 3rd shift to support heavy steel processing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
This onsite role requires hands-on troubleshooting, ownership of equipment reliability, and experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and welding. Competitive compensation and strong benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience in steel processing, stamping, heavy manufacturing, or industrial production preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and power transmission equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Comfortable using a computer for reports, email, and parts research.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment.
- Work on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, shafts, and power transmission systems.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Complete welding, cutting, fabrication, and minor machining as needed.
- Read mechanical drawings, schematics, OEM manuals, and equipment diagrams.
- Partner with electrical technicians, operators, and production teams on repairs and upgrades.
- Document maintenance work, daily reports, and parts needs.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, takes ownership of equipment reliability, and has experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, welding, and fabrication.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment.
- Work on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, sprockets, couplings, shafts, and power transmission systems.
