Job summary

Pennex Aluminum Company in Greenville, PA is seeking a Production Worker to operate and maintain equipment used in aluminum casting. Responsibilities include preparing molds, pouring molten aluminum, quality checks, loading/unloading logs, and ensuring safety in a high-temperature environment.

Night shifts run 7pm–7am with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of related experience; forklift and heavy equipment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Heavy equipment and forklift operation are preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Clean residues from distribution pan, transfer nozzles, mold assemblies and other spots.
• Paint distribution pans, filter bowls and transfer troughs with bone ash mixture.
• Sands and paints mold assemblies.
• Preheat and dry troughs, filters and pans until casting starts.
• Load and unload logs and billets; prepare storage areas.
• Operate log saw and homogenizing furnace; check saw blade sharpness.
