Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Cusseta, AL is seeking a reliable forklift operator for a 3rd shift (730 PM – 6 AM) to move materials, load pallets, and support production flows. This role emphasizes safety, accurate material handling, and teamwork.

You will read instructions, operate lifting equipment, restock as needed, and comply with all safety rules while maintaining responsible attendance and readiness for weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Previous material handling work experience preferred.
• Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day including weekends.
• Basic computer skills and safe forklift operation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Observes and complies with safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Participates in training and educational programs for the position.
• Supports continuous improvement activities and audits as needed.
• Moves lifting devices to load/unload pallets and materials.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and restocks as needed.
• Loads or unloads materials and recharges batteries or replaces gas tanks.
